Grant Imahara was a Japanese American electrical engineer, roboticist, and television host. He is best known for his work on the television series myth busters, on which he designed and built countless robots and dedicated himself to operating computers and electronics as a method to test myths.
He began his career at LucasFilm. He also functioned as an engineer in the THX division and the industrial light and magic division in visual effects. His work is showcased in films such as Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The Matrix, and Terminator. His first experience with television work was on the robot combat series BattleBots for which he competed, and then returned as a judge. In 2005, he joined the cast of Myth busters as a member of the build team. He appeared in more than 200 installments of the series.
