A continent is a large continuous landmass that is typically bordered by the oceans. It contains many different countries. The only two exclusions to that rule are Antarctica and Australia. The continent stands alone and is not divided. There are seven continents, including Asia, Antarctica, Australia, North America, South America, and Europe, with Australia the smallest and Asia the largest.

On the other hand, a country is a section of land divided by different geopolitical borders that people have developed over time. It is an area that governs itself. It is a place in which the land is occupied by people who share a similar cultural background. The citizens of the country must adhere to its unique set of rules and regulations. A country is just a small piece of a giant continent.

When you say country, this is something that is a part of a continent. A continent is one of the lands that are part of the earth. Australia and Antarctica are countries that are also continents. Continents are known to be large pieces of land that are separated by different bodies of water. Countries, on the other hand, will come with different boundaries so that countries will know up to what part they would be able to command. Take note that there are more than 100 countries all over the world. Each country will have different rules and regulations. There are more countries as compared to continents.

A continent is just a separation in the land’s boundaries, while there are many other aspects to consider when identifying a country. People from the same continent may have cultural, political, and other similarities. The first characteristic of a continent is the fact that continents are large landmasses that are divided by oceans, while countries have specific geopolitical boundaries. The world is full of continents that have countries, just as countries have cities and towns.

There are seven continents in the word this includes Africa, Asia, Australia, Antarctica, South America, North America, and Europe while a country consists of states, towns, city, and villages where is no limited number to the amount of village, town, city or state a country wants to have.

The continent is the separation in geographical boundaries while a country is separated geographically, politically, and culturally. A continent does not have a ruler or any government body while a country has a leader, and it chooses its government system. A country is known to be smaller than a continent. In fact, a country can be found inside a continent. There are some places that can be considered as both countries and continents such as Antarctica and Australia. Continents are known to be huge masses of land that are normally separated by water.

This means that you can tell that one continent is not connected to another continent anymore because there is water between them. Countries can be found inside continents, as mentioned earlier. There are usually some political borders that should be followed to ensure that people cannot go freely from one country to another without the proper documents.
