The pulse is the beat of an artery or the heart, and there are several major arteries inside the body. These include the feet, legs, neck, forearms, and other areas of interest. There are major arteries that pulsate the blood. On the contrary, blood pressure is explained as the measure of systolic volume and diastolic volume.

In blood pressure, the stroke volume of blood is being evaluated, and it also reveals how strong the blood pumps within the body. The normal pulse beat is 60-100, while the normal blood pressure is 120/80 or 110/70. Anything higher than these numbers should be reported to the physician immediately.

Numbers that go higher than the normal pulse beat are called tachycardia, rapid pulse beat, and numbers that go higher than normal blood pressure, which is called hypertension. Numbers below the normal pulse beat is called bradycardia, and numbers that fall below the normal blood pressure is called hypotension.

The terms pulse and blood pressure might sound similar, but they are two different terms. Pulse refers to the regular beat of the arteries that is felt when the arteries are depressed, due to the pumping action of the heart. On the other hand, Blood pressure refers to the pressure exerted against the walls of the arteries by the blood. The knowledge of the term 'blood pressure' allows medical practitioners to know how blood circulates through the body. The heart is the organ that pumps blood to the rest of the body. Therefore, if anything happens to the heart, it can affect the blood pressure. Any changes in the normal functioning of the heart will also affect the pulse. Most times, the value 110/70 or 120/80 is considered to be the normal blood pressure of the body. Also, any value between 60-100 is considered to be the normal pulse beat. However, any value gotten outside this range should be reported to a doctor.

Blood pressure is the amount of force that is exerted by the blood in the blood vessels. Normal blood pressure will ensure that the body will be getting enough oxygen. The normal blood pressure is going to be 120/80. The pulse will refer to the number of beats that the heart will make every minute. The heart will usually beat about 60 to 100 beats per minute. There are different things that can make the pulse become faster or slower. For example, not doing anything will make the heartbeat slower while doing some exercises will also make the heart beat faster. Heartbeats that are higher than 100 are considered to be not normal. The elevated heartbeat may be caused by different factors that should be checked by your doctor.

Pulse is also known as heart rate. You will be referring to your pulse when you want to know how fast your heart beats every minute. There are times when the pulse rate may be too fast or too slow depending on what you are experiencing. Someone who is fighting an infection may have a higher heart rate as compared to someone who is feeling absolutely normal. Blood pressure, on the other hand, will refer to the force of the blood that is being exerted by your blood vessels. Normal blood pressure will signify that everything is going well. People with low blood pressure may be running low on sugar. Those who have high blood pressure may have more cholesterol in their blood.

You know that when people would like to check if someone is still alive but unconscious, all that they have to do is to look for a pulse. The pulse will represent the heartbeat of a person even though you cannot see the actual heart as it beats. The blood pressure, on the other hand, is the force of the blood that flows against the different arteries of the body.

Take note that in order to get the blood pressure, it is going to be a bit different. There is a need to use a special machine that will be placed on the body. It is a special cuff that will be placed around the arm area. There are two numbers that will appear and the person taking your blood pressure will do the reading for you.
