Sunni and Salafi are two sects of Islam. During the British rule in the Indian sub-continent, significant differences became evident in the Muslim community, which led to disagreements between Muslims' different sects.

The main difference between the two is that Sunnis believe the Prophet Muhammad is enlightened and steer the Muslims in the right direction. In contrast, Salafi's believe the Prophet is a normal human being. Sunni and Salafi both have separate mosques and madrasas or schools.

The Salafi depend upon the teachings of the Quran and the Hadith. According to Sunni jurisprudence's four schools of thought, the Orthodox Sunnis have strict beliefs, while Salafis obey when Quran and Sunnah support their ruling.

Sunni and Salafi are two popular sects in Islam. Although Sunni and Salafi still regard themselves as Muslims, they differ when you compare their beliefs. Salafis are a group of people who seeks to follow and practice the religious beliefs of the early Muslims. Sunnis are also a group of people that see Prophet Muhammad as an enlightened soul sent to lead Muslims. On the contrary, the Salafis do not believe in this; they always regard Prophet Muhammad as a common man just like everybody on Earth. Another difference is that Sunni and Salafi have their separate schools and mosques. The Salafis only use the Quran and the Hadith. The Sunnis also use the Quran, but they also believe in the school of thought of the four imams. On the contrary, the Salafis do not believe in the school of thought of the four imams. The Salafis do not believe in prostration and intercession, whereas the Sunnis believe in the two.

There are different types of Muslims that are available. They may have some differences in their beliefs that sometimes, it can be confusing for non−Muslims. Sunnis believe that the Prophet Muhammad is known to be an enlightened soul. This means that Muhammad is supposedly sent by Allah in order to make sure that the Muslims will stay on the right path. The Salafi Muslims, on the other hand, believe that Muhammad is just another human being. This means that he is just like other prophets who wanted to spread the word of Allah. Salafi Muslims also have a lot of faith in the Quran. In fact, they make sure that they will do actions based on the image and likeness of Allah that was stated in this Holy Book.

There are some people who may think that Sunni and Salafi are the same but the more that you know about Islam, the more that you will realize that they are different. Sunni Muslims have a belief that Muhammad is an enlightened soul which means that he is not just a human being. His main goal is to inspire and enlighten the Muslim people. Salafi Muslims, on the other hand, have the belief the s Muhammad is just like you and me. The Salafi Muslims usually believe that they should base the things that they would rely on the Qu’ran. A lot of people believe that Islam has to be one of the purest religions that can be found right now.

If in case you are not too familiar with these terms, these are known to be the two different sects of Islam. The main difference between the two is that the Sunni Muslims believe that Mohammed is the prophet that they have been waiting for. They believe that it is Mohammed that would be able to guide their souls so that they can reach eternal life.

If in case you are not too familiar with these terms, these are known to be the two different sects
Salafi Muslims believe that even though Mohammed has obviously done a lot in order to make people believe in Islam, he is also human like the rest of us. Take note that Salafi Muslims believe that Islam is the purest religion out of all.
