A lot of people use garbage and trash interchangeably without thinking that they are actually the same. Garbage is the type of waste that you can get from the kitchen because of preparing different food products.

For example, if you are going to cook some vegetables or if you are going to cook meat, there will be items that you need to throw out for sure. These items, the wet wastes, can be called garbage. When you say trash, you are referring to the dry items that you need to throw out. They can be the paper that you have used when you made a mistake for your report or your other office materials that you need to throw out.

Many people judge a home and business by the cleanliness of it. One of the ways that a person should keep their house clean is by getting rid of trash and garbage. These two terms are often used interchangeably, but there are many differences between them.

Garbage are things inside of the location that are disposable. For instance, this could be scrap paper, utensils, and leftover or wasted food. trash are things outside of the location that are also disposable, but they differ because they are outside. They can also be things from others area inside, such as a bedroom. Examples of this include leaves, tree branches, and furniture.

It is very common to see people using the words "Garbage" and "Trash" interchangeably simply because both give a meaning of different kinds of materials that are meant to be discarded because they are no longer useful. However, the word "garbage" is used to refer to disposable or useless materials, most especially food wastes of any kind and other materials from the kitchen and bathroom.

Food containers, clothing, paper materials, and other organic materials are examples of garbage. Trash, on the other hand, refers to disposable or useless materials from anywhere aside from the bathroom and kitchen. Grass clippings, old furniture, junk, twigs, leaves, are under this category.

Waste materials that are classified as garbage are usually picked up by agencies like the waste control department, while trash is picked up by contractors. However, there are some waste materials that will not be picked up by contractors and waste control departments, but they will need to be disposed of personally.
