Both the BSc and BSc (Hons) are Bachelor’s degrees, and they are both academic degrees awarded to undergraduate students. These two are actually both academic degrees, but there exist some slight differences between them. In several countries, they consider a bachelor’s degree to be a pass or an ordinary degree, and different from an honors degree.
In countries of the world like Great Britain, India, Canada, Ireland and so on, are some of the countries where the Bachelor’s degree (Hons) are in vogue. One cannot discover much difference between a Bachelor’s of Science degree and a Bachelors of Science (Hons) degree.
The BSc and the BSc (Hons) basically take almost the same amount of time to complete. In many countries, the BSc (Hons) may take a year more than the BSc to complete. Therefore, three years are needed to complete a BSc degree, while four years time frame is needed for the completion of a BSc (Hons) degree.
