Bachelor of Arts requires more learning in the areas of literature and humanities, and in most of these courses, the student will also learn a foreign language. Humanities are comprised of subjects in a Bachelor of Arts include psychology, sociology, history, and public administration.

People who are disinterested in math and science prefer to have the experiences of art and writing and drama, to name a few. These are people who do not foresee themselves using a degree in math or science-based professions. Bachelor of Science is just the opposite. It involves the study of science and math subjects.

These students prefer to perform various experiments in chemistry, or they love to solve algebra equations. The primary subjects that pertain to this degree are physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. Those who take these courses feel that a degree in science would be more useful to them.

One of the main differences between the two is that Bachelor of Science will come with more units and subjects as compared to the Bachelor of Arts. This means that Bachelor of Science will also come with subjects that are more in-depth as compared to others.

Take note that both are regarded as equal. It does not mean that just because someone has graduated with a BS degree, this person will be considered to be better because of the degree. Usually, people who are required to take a BS degree would be able to put the extra units to good use when they decide to take further education in the future.
