Fate refers to the occurrence of events that the person has no control over, and it has already been determined to supernatural power. It is based on the concept that there is a strict natural order to things working in the universe, which cannot be altered.

Fate is believed to be inevitable and inspired through divine measures. Fate is described as the result of action or inaction in a person’s life and is somehow associated with that life. Coincidence is an occurrence in which events occur, and although it may appear to be planned, it is purely by accident.

An example of this is two best friends who wear the same prom dress, but neither one knew. Another example is while talking about someone, and the person shows up where you are. We tend to use the term coincidence to explain a particular event or outcome. Subjects such as math and statistics cover this theory.

When major unexpected events happen to people that change the course of their life, some of them stop to think whether it is fate or just mere coincidence. Although both are similar in the sense that they are totally uncontrolled by humans, fate and coincidence are very much different.

Coincidence is a remarkable event that is just an accident or something unplanned but still made an impact on a person/object. Fate, on the other hand, is a remarkable event that is planned or is predetermined by something greater than humans.

People who believe in fate, believe that when something is fated for them, that is their purpose, goal, or what is meant to be/happen for them.

Fate and coincidence are two different types of thought based on the experiences someone has throughout their lifetime. When people speak of fate, they are often referring to destiny, which is the romantic ideal of those who believe in the notion that “it was written in the stars.” This idea usually pertains to meeting someone and falling in love, and it could also be the end result of a person’s actions, whether good or bad, throughout their lifetime.

You could call it karma in a sense, but it refers to the idea that everyone will reap what they sew withing their lifetime. Coincidence, on the other hand, has nothing to do with fate. Most of the time, people who are not spiritual and do not believe in anything, often say that something that has occurred is a coincidence.

The word is used to explain an unexpected event. Coincidence means that there is no meaning, rhyme, or reason, and life is just life. The term coincidence is also important in subjects like mathematics and statistics. It is used to explain a particular experience, event, or outcome.
