While pride month celebration is observed in the month of June every year, the series of events that are organized usually hold from the 14th of June to the 28th of June. However, this year's pride week celebration will vary from one state to another in the United States. While some states have lined up a series of events that would be held between 14th to 21st of June, others would celebrate this year's pride week between 21st to 28th of June, 2020. Meanwhile, the celebration of pride week will not be like the ones in the previous years due to the current COVID-19 pandemic that is ravaging the whole world.
Pride week is celebrated in different parts of the world in different ways. Although the regular celebration of Pride week has been postponed indefinitely, this does not mean the LGBTQ community and its members in other countries won't celebrate their heroes. As a result, they have arranged for virtual gatherings so that they can still observe some of their events. However, the main celebration is usually observed on June 28, since it marked a significant day in the event that led to the liberation of the LGBTQ community, especially when you relate it with the incident that happened on June 28, 1969, at Stonewall Inn.
