Foremost, JIT refers to a method of inventory management that has proven to improve or boost the return of a manufacturing firm on investment, quality of work, and efficiency basically by reducing inventory. The functionality of JIT prevents you from seeing or viewing inventory as adding value, but instead as incurring the cost, which is against the regular or traditional way of practicing business.

This has some effects that are of benefit on the company, such as simplifying the flow of warehouse to shelves inventory, production scheduling, and more. On the other hand, Kaban is not a system that controls inventory like JIT.

The kanban is actually a scheduling system that provides a firm with information on what to produce, how much to produce, and when to produce. This is the key element that is implemented in JIT for effective inventory control. Kanban is a demand or pulls kind of scheduling system that can be in the form of bins, boxes, cards, or palettes.

JT stands for just in time. It is an inventory management system. When this strategy is used, it is done to cut the costs associated with inventory that is in processing. There are many elements of the JT system and one of those element is Kanban. This element is used in Japan and it means visual cards.

Specifically, Kanban is a scheduling system that involves a demand or pull. This is normally done in the form of boxes, cards, palettes, or bins. JIT makes use of the Kanban system to help levitate the costs related to inventory. Overall, they are both used to ensure the necessary materials are needed

JIT is a strategy or method that can be used to manage inventory so that businesses or manufacturing firms can start experiencing a high return on their investment. JIT helps businesses not to see inventory as value adding, but rather cost incurring.

The good thing about this strategy is that it will not only help businesses reduce their expenses, but it will also help them to have the right materials or assets at the right time. JIT comes with so many advantages as it helps businesses to properly utilize their employees with multiple skills. It will also help businesses to base their supply on the production demand.

Kanban, on the other hand, is a Japanese word which means visual cards. It is not an inventory management system like JIT; it is more of a scheduling system because it guides a company on how to produce, how much to produce, and when to produce.
