What is the difference between The Bible and The Quran?

A lot of people think that the Bible and the Quran are somewhat similar to each other. The main difference is in what religion they are used. The Bible is used by Christians and Catholics while the Quran is considered to be the holy book of Muslims.

The Bible is said to be the collection of thoughts by the different saints that existed during the time of Jesus and even the prophets before that. The Quran is said to be a collection of writings that were written by their prophet, Muhammad. There are some similarities between the two too. They are both used by people so that they can have a better judgment of what is wrong from right.

They also contain books from God, the disciples, and have the Ten Commandments. For Islam, their holy word is the Quran.

The first difference between the Bible and the Quran is that the Bible is the main religious text used by the Christians and the Jews, while the Quran is the holy book used by the Muslims. Muslims see the Quran as the exact word of God as revealed to Prophet Muhammad. The Quran contains teachings that are needed towards guiding believers unto the path of righteousness and uprightness.

The Bible is believed to be the word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit, and it can only be understood by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Although it contains different stories of so many prophets who came before Jesus Christ, the Bible is more about the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The Quran also recorded some things about Jesus Christ, but it only sees Him as one of the Prophets sent by God and not the son of God as portrayed in the Bible. While the Bible shows that God is a tripartite being, the Quran says there is only one God (Allah).

The Bible is an assembly of writings by various authors. In the Bible, it's common to see many authors writing about God from their different perspectives. The Bible comprises of 66 books. The Bible does not possess the habit of self-referencing. This means that the word 'Bible' is not once mentioned in the Bible.

It is believed that the speaker in the Qur'an is God. It identifies itself 70 times as the Qur'an. Quran is a recital from its one and only prophet. The poetic genres within the Bible and Quran reveal some striking differences. It is known that the Bible is diverse in its literary genres; this owes to the claim that God inspired specific men to write using their own experiences and perspectives under varying situations.

This is not so with the Quran. The Quran is Islam’s major reason to believe in part because of its rumored literary perfectness, many prophecies, and the claim that it is the direct word of God. “Unlike the Quran, the primary use of the Bible is to serve as the basis of what Christians believe, not why they believe.

The Bible and the Quran are powerful books being used as scriptures by the two most popular religions on earth i.e., Christianity and Islam. The Bible is the main religious text for Christians. It is a compilation of books from different authors about some prophets, apostles, and people that were used greatly by God. The stories of Jesus Christ right from His birth to the point he was crucified are also included in the Bible.

The concept of the trinity, which also regards Jesus Christ as God, is something the Quran does not support, as it is written in the Quran that God is one, and He does not give birth to any children.
