Dogs are a man's best friend and there are many breeds of dogs that a person can choose from to be their companion. Two types of breeds are Akita's and Husky's. One of the differences between the two is the size of the dog. Between the two, Akita's are much larger.

They can grow to be as tall as 24 to 26 inches. Husky's are smaller, growing as tall as 20 to 23 1/2 inches. When it comes to their weight, Akita's are heavier. They can weigh up to 119 pounds, which is the same amount of weight that a human can weigh.

Dog lovers will have no problems knowing the difference between Akita and Husky, but just in case you would like to know more about these two dog breeds, then keep on reading. An Akita is a dog that is very large. In fact, the Akita can grow even larger than the Husky.

The Akita will be tall at 24 to 26 inches, while the Husky will be a bit smaller at 20 to 23 1/2 inches. The weight of these two dogs is considered to be very heavy, especially when compared to other dog breeds.

Male Akitas can even reach up to 119 pounds, which means that they can be as heavy as human beings. Husky is considered to be a family dog and can work well with human beings, but the Akita might not be that domesticated to actually enjoy human company.

Husky and Akita are dogs that are used for similar purposes because of their thick coats and their ability to live in cold climates. These dogs are not like regular dogs; they are aggressive and territorial.

Akita has a thick and full double coat that comes in different shades such as white, brown, or both. It has pointed ears, deep eyes, strong head, and a curled hairy tail. They originated in Japan. Akita is huge dogs, a male Akita is about 75-119ibs, and the female Akita is about 70- 100Ibs.

Akita is known for its intelligence and loyalty, while Husky originated from the northern region, they are not as large as the Akita, a male Husky is about 45-60Ibs, and the female is about 35- 50Ibs. Huskies come in different breeds. Huskies are friendly to anyone.
