American cheese can come in many different varieties and colors. Two of the main colors that the cheese comes in is orange and white. Both of these cheeses are made in the same way, in that they are processed. The orange cheese has a different color because turmeric is added to the cheese to give it color.

They have a similar taste, but there is a difference when it comes to cost. Between the two, white cheese is higher priced. They also use the same ingredients of milk, milk protein concentrate, and whey. Really, the only difference between the two is the turmeric added to the orange cheese.

Some people can become confused about why there are different colors of cheeses that are available. It is quite common to see white and orange American cheese. You cannot help but wonder what their actual difference is. White and orange cheeses are made the same way.

The main difference is that coloring will be added to the orange cheese to give it more color. The main colorant that is used is a type of spice that is called annatto.

There are times when this spice will cause a slight difference with the taste of the cheese. You can expect that it will be a bit spicy. There are also instances when the spice can also change the overall texture of the cheese.
