Herpes is a sexually transmitted infection, that has a number of ways it can be treated. If a person becomes infected, there are two types of medications that they can take. They are Acyclovir and Valacyclovir ( also known as Valtrex). They are both antiviral and generic versions of herpes medications. A person taking these medications are likely to have the same type of symptoms, including headache, feeling the urge to throw up, and fatigue. One of the key differences between them is how they can be taken. Valtrex only comes in oral tablet form, while Acyclorvir can come in tablet, capsule form, or an ointment.
