The words "Admiral" and "General" stand for the different shares that people may choose from when they are trying to find shares for their mutual funds. Admiral shares will only require people to have a lower investment as compared to General shares. Take note that there are different classifications that are required to ensure that people will be allowed to get the shares that they want.

For example, for Admiral shares, people are required to have a minimum investment of $10,000. This is lower than the General shares that are worth $50,000. Take note that there are certain sectors wherein the amount that is needed will be much higher as compared to the figures that are mentioned above. Trading can be a bit complicated, but it does not have to be as long as you know the right terms and the things to do.

People tend to be confused about the difference between an Admiral and General, the major difference between Admiral and General is that Admiral is the highest rank in the navy while General is a rank in the army.

Admiral in some countries comes with a four-star. In the United States, before the civil war captain was the highest rank in the navy, the rank of admiral was introduced in the US army during the civil war. In navy, Admiral is a rank just above vice admiral.

General is the rank below field marshal, and above lieutenant general. General, which is a four-star rank, is the most senior rank during peacetime, and field marshal is the highest rank during the period of war.
