An earthquake occurs when the release of energy within the earth’s crust, which in frequency, size, and types of earthquakes found in a specific place over time. The seismism of a particular zone is a measure of over seven that can cause substantial damage in the surrounding zones based on the depth of the earthquake. It is a way of explaining the severity of the quake, as earthquakes over seven can be fatal.

The critical difference between 7.1 and 7.2 is that 7.2 is more destructive and extreme. Seismometers determine this measure of amplitude. People often do not understand that even though the difference between the two appears minute on paper, 7.2 causes twice the amount of damage.

This percentage is because the Richter scale means that there is a 100 percent increase in the amplitude of seismic waves. Simply put, it is a measurement of the shaking that is experienced during an earthquake.

Earthquakes are natural disasters that can occur anywhere in the world. They can have a damaging impact on an area. Earthquakes are measured through intensity. The lower the intensity, the less damage that can have. However, any earthquake over 7 can have a very damaging and deadly impact. 7.1 and 7.2 are only points apart, but there are many differences between them. One of the differences between them is in regards to the waves that the earthquake has. An earthquake with 7.2 has 100% waves than 7.1. Along with the waves, a 7.2 earthquake will have more shaking than 7.1
