Full and queen refer to two different sizes of bed. Full beds are wider than single beds, and they were made to allow two people to sleep together on a bed. The dimensions of a full bed are 54x75 inches, and this measurement means that each person derives only 27 inches space for themselves, which, oddly enough, is even less than a single bed.
The length of 75 inches is often too small for some adults to bear, especially the people who are over 6 feet tall. This height is why the queen bed was created and has been standardized at 60x 80 inches. It allows 30 inches in width per person, which is advantageous for those who may be more abundant in size.
This way, a taller person gets a full 5 inches extra, which people find to be much more comfortable. The queen is an oversized full bed, and it tends to look better in an adult’s room than a full bed.
