The organizational structures of various companies are arranged in many ways. According to generally accepted standards, the Board of Directors forms the top of a business structure. This board is replaced by a Chief Executive Officer who is the leader of the company down the line.

He is the general manager who is above every general manager. The CEO oversees the entire production process that goes from the bottom to the top. They go from production to quality control, to recruitment then marketing, and then to sale and profit. The CEO is administered by a board of directors who represents the shareholders of the company.

The interaction between a CEO and the board of directors’ rests in the hands of the company secretary. The Executive Director leads the board. His responsibilities range from calling and managing the annual general meeting of the shareholders, approve pictures of the CEO. For a company to succeed, both Executive Director and the Chief Executive Officer must maintain good relations.

When it comes to a business, there are many people involved that help it run smoothly. These people have different titles and roles in helping the business function. Two of those titles are the CEO, which stands for chief executive officer and the executive director. Both positions are high ranking within the company and are in charge of ensuring the company has succeeded. Some may even use these terms interchangeably, but the type of profit that the company has will determine which title is used. A CEO is usually for a company that has profit, while an executive director is for non-profits.
