Herpes is a sexually transmitted virus, and there are two types, including HSV-1 or herpes simplex two viruses. Herpes simplex 1 is the number one cause of the physical unpleasantries that come to fruition because of the condition. It is quite common, as fifty to eighty percent of adults in America have oral Herpes.
The sores are typically cold sores or fever blisters, and they generally form in or around the mouth. Herpes simplex one infected lesions may be treated with topical, anesthetic drugs. Signs of herpes simplex 2 emerge in the genital area. The infection can be spread easily, so it is wise to be careful. The viruses are transmitted, most of the time, through sexual contact.
Any oral to skin contact, (such as oral sex) can be very detrimental to your health if you are not careful, and people who contract this disease need to be very careful not to touch their lips or face because it can lead to the spread of infection.
Condoms are the best and smartest way to preserve good sexual health and to keep yourself from procuring the disease. Choosing not to have sex during an outbreak is an even better solution to the problem.
