When talking about myths, you have to know that a myth is part of a legend, and its purpose is to provide specific perceptions on a more cosmic level. It includes anything from the supernatural to primordial. The nature of myths is that they are both true and sacred. They are related to other forms of fables such as ghost stories, folk tales, and legends.

It can be further broken down into creation and existence, and even political myths are widely accepted. Mythology is a compilation of several or many myths that typically belong to a group of people or culture. Mythologies usually focus on issues of a particular group of people and their history.

This history includes what gods they worship and their ancestry. An excellent example of a myth is that at some point in time, there was a great flood that killed all the humans on earth at the time. On the other hand, in Greek, Egyptian and Indian mythology, the phoenix is the symbol for an eagle, whom once his life comes to an end, the old phoenix is consumed by the rising sun, and a new one emerges. A myth will usually have some unusual and exciting elements within it, such as talking animals and people with superhuman powers.

Myth and mythology are often two terms that are used interchangeably. On the surface, a person can see them as the same thing, but once these words are broken down, the differences are evident. A myth is a story. It is a traditional story that can explain one in a lifetime occurrences or things that happen supernaturally. Examples include folktales, legends, or fables. Mythology is a collection of myths. These myths belong to a certain group of people, such as a religion. It is also an independent study. A person can go to school to learn about and become experts in fields such as Greek mythology
