Electric guitars are very popular musical instruments. The Stratocaster, which is often nicknamed strat, comes in many different types, and the best ones are the American and Mexican models. One of the main variations between American and Mexican strat is the type of wood that is used for the making. The wood used for making the American strat is of higher quality than the Mexican strat.

The American strat provides a modified tone, called a delta tone. The American strat contains 22 frets, while the Mexican strat includes 21 frets, which is a very subtle, almost non -existent difference. The American strat has a measurement of 1.685 inches at the nut, while the Mexican strat has a measurement of 1.650 inches. Again, this is another minute difference. The bridge part on both the American and Mexican strat is also different. Again, the most noticeable difference between the two is the quality of the wood.
