Both monkeys and apes possess similarities such as flexible limbs and forward-facing eyes. Many physical differences set them apart, as apes do not have tails, while monkeys possess tails of different lengths. Monkeys live in trees while apes are more comfortable walking beside and around the trees, as they have become accustomed to the ground.
Monkeys have webbed feet to assist them in climbing trees quickly while apes do not have webbed feet. Apes have opposable thumbs, just like humans. The behavior of the ape is said to be characteristic of human beings. They have demonstrated that they are more intelligent than monkeys. Apes are also bigger than monkeys, and their arms are longer; however, they do have shorter legs than monkeys. Apes have a broader chest than monkeys, who have longer chests. Even though it is a matter of opinion, monkeys are said to be cuter than apes, as some people have them as pets.
