American ginseng and Korean ginseng are two varieties of ginseng herb. American ginseng refers to a variety that is found in America and Canada, whereas Korean ginseng refers to a variety that is found in North-Eastern China and Korean. Due to the cooling nature of American ginseng, it is fit for hot weather conditions, whereas the warmer nature of Korean ginseng makes it fit for cold weather conditions.
Although both help to boost the energy levels, American ginseng has certain properties that can help one to relax, whereas Korean ginseng invigorates and also stimulates. This is because American ginseng is used mostly to cool down the body, most especially during fever and other health issues associated with a hot climate, while Korean ginseng is used to promote the energy in the body. However, both contain active ingredients that are very similar. For example, both contain ginsenosides, but there are still little differences, most especially in terms of proportion.
