One thing that you should know is that a gout is a form of arthritis. Even though people usually think that gout and RA are the same, you should realize that they have different symptoms and effects. Gout is something that you can get depending on your lifestyle. For example, you may not follow a healthy diet. You are more likely to get gout that way. Remember that one of the things that you can look for to see if you have gout is to check your big toe.

It may always be inflamed. When you have RA, you can usually feel the pain on your wrists, your ankles, and also your hands. Take note that both may cause swelling and stiffness but it will help to know what you have to be sure with the type of treatment you need.
