Some people may become confused with the difference between delusion and illusion because they seem to be the same in the beginning. When you say delusion, this means that the person has a belief about something that can be fanciful or untrue. There are times when people really believe that what they believe in is happening, but actually, none of the things that they feel that they experience or have are true.
When you say illusion, this means that your different senses, the things that you are seeing, or a hearing may not exactly be there, but they seem to be. Usually, someone who is experiencing delusion is experiencing it from his/her mind.
