Canadian Thanksgiving is known to take place on the second Monday of October. The date of celebration for the Americans is different, as this usually happens on the fourth Thursday in the month of November. What a lot of people do not realize, too, is that Canadian Thanksgiving has started even earlier than the Americans.
They started out back in 1578 while the Americans started back in 1621. The root of Thanksgiving for the Canadians is because of harvest, while for the Americans, this is because of feasting. Right now, Thanksgiving is seen as an occasion for people to get together and celebrate with each other.
