The octopus is known to be available in the dens that can be found on the seafloor. The squid is something that can be found in the open ocean. You can expect that the octopus will be using its eight tentacles in order to find food across the ocean floor. The squid will also have eight arms, which is one of the reasons why people may become confused between the two.
The arms of the squid are lined with suckers, but they also have two tentacles that they will use so that they can capture prey. There are some people who have tried eating live octopus and have died because they were not able to chew well enough.
