There are various tables that people can use especially when they would like to explain certain things. A dimension table will have different elements such as the surrogate key, natural key, and various attributes that may be needed to ensure that the table will provide all of the needed facts. A fact table will be composed of different elements from the dimension table.
The fact table will contain the following: foreign key, different degenerated dimensions, and measurements. There are also some differences in terms of sizes. The fact table is definitely going to be bigger than a dimensional table. These tables are going to be helpful in helping you figure out the various details that you need to know about the elements that are being measured.
