Hay is known as a type of crop that can be used as something that will be eaten by cattle and other farm animals. Horses are also known to eat hay. Straw is a type of byproduct that comes from a grain crop. Straw is not really recommended to be eaten by cattle and other animals. Instead, what is being done to it is it will become transformed into garden mulch.

They can be effective in improving the condition of your soil and making sure that all of the plants that you will plant will start to grow better than before. Still, there are some people who say that hay can also be used in order to improve the condition of your soil.
