Electron microscopes are better than their optical counterpart. Electron microscopes use electrons to magnify a projected image, while optical microscopes use photons. Electron microscopes can reach magnifications of up to one million times.

This amplification is a lot compared to the limited magnifying power of optical microscopes of only one thousand times maximum magnifying power. Electron microscopes are said to launch a more thorough field than the hazy details of the optical microscopes, which are more expensive and challenging to maintain because they need to be fueled by a stable electrical source.

Electron microscopes generate grayscale images, while the optical microscope, on the other hand, is also known as the light microscope, and they are pioneering microscopes. They were the first designed mechanisms that made use of readily available simple lenses compared to the newer electron microscope.

Microscopes are used for the purpose of seeing things that are too small for the human eye to see. They allow a person to get up close images that they would not be able to see without it. Optical and Electron are two types of microscopes. Optional is the oldest type of microscope that has been around. The electron microscope is the newer type of microscope.

Another difference between the two is related to the cost of each microscope. Between the two, optical microscopes are lower priced, while electron microscopes cost more. As they are newer, electron microscopes have more complex features and not as easy to use.
