Samurais and Ninjas may seem the same, but they are not. Samurais are known to be warriors, and they were born into being warriors. Only those who come from the noble family class can train to become samurais. They are properly introduced to Japanese society. Ninjas, on the other hand, are known to be spies. They can be mercenaries and even assassins. People who become ninjas may be part of the lower classes in Japanese society. This is one of the reasons why they would need to keep their face except for their eyes covered. They want to make sure that they will not be recognized.
The difference between ninja and samurai are clear. The difference between these two is who they are the samurais were warriors that belonged to a noble class of ancient Japanese society, while ninjas were mercenaries that belong to the lower classes of ancient Japanese society.
Samurai are warriors that fight for the emperor; the samurai asks for no fee till the end while the ninjas serve to be paid; they are like the modern-day assassins. The ninja follows an unorthodox style of fighting while the samurai follow the bushido code when fighting.
The samurais wore a metal-clad suit of armor, while the ninjas wore backcloths covering all leaving only their eyes. Samurais use hand to hand combat weapons while the ninjas use small weapons such as ninja stars.
Samurai and Ninjas are related to martial arts. Sometimes people use them interchangeably, but there are many differences between them. One of the key differences is in regards to their status and who they are to their culture. Samurais are apart of the ancient Japanese culture. They were warriors, and they were apart of the noble class. On the other hand, ninjas were often regarded as mercenaries. They were also apart of the Japanese society, but they were considered to be lower class. This meant that in the social status, samurais were a class ahead of ninjas, and some of that philosophy has carried over into how they are regarded today.
