Measurement and evaluation are both means that are used to monitor progress for individuals or groups in a workplace or educational level, they both provide information about a person or group performance.

Measurement requires some standardized tools for measuring, it is all about number and being able to quantify the performance or abilities. Measurement is all about numbers and data and standardized tests. It is more objective as they have numerical standards to compare and records.

Evaluation is used to judge the value or worth of a plan or project, it is also the key element in a pupil’s performance and measures the progress of the individual.

Evaluation benefits from the opportunity to use the data to compare and judge the success rate of a person or an object that maybe not be necessarily quantified. Lastly, evaluation could be said to be more subjective as the evaluator and measures used are part of human science.
