Both lunar eclipse and solar eclipse are events that have to do with the arrangement of three celestial bodies: the Sun, the moon, and the Earth. There is Lunar Eclipse when the earth is in between the sun and the moon in a way that the light of the sun couldn't get to the moon; while we have Solar Eclipse when the moon is in between the earth and the sun that the sun is totally out of view.
Lunar Eclipse happens on the full moon night while the solar eclipse is experienced on the new moon. The Lunar Eclipse could happen for almost an hour but Solar Eclipse for a maximum of six to seven minutes, the moon remain visible and look like red or copper in color during a Lunar Eclipse while we lose sight of the sun being behind the moon during a Solar Eclipse, looking at the sun with the natural eye during Solar Eclipse is very dangerous, but the use of special glasses can be employed while it’s safe to look at the Moon during Lunar Eclipse.
At once, the lunar eclipse can be seen by almost everyone on the night side of the earth, while only a few parts of the earth experience the Solar Eclipse because of the small size of the moon. Generally, we experience Lunar Eclipse twice a year and the solar eclipse once every 18 months; the solar eclipse is also the only experience at the same spot once every 370 years.
