Mac 10 (Military Armament Corporation Model 10) and UZI are pistol kinds of machine guns. As a matter of fact, the Mac 10 machine gun is being manufactured in the United States, while the UZI gun is made in Israel. However, the UZI guns have been in existence long before the Mac 10 was designed. The latter is known to be a blowback-operated gun, and it was developed by Gordon B Ingram in the year 1964, while the UZI gun was designed by Uziel Gal in the 1940s.

Most military personnel actually prefer the UZI gun to Mac 10, and they consider it better than its counterpart. There is an open bolt blow design, which helps in keeping the riffle cool when firing. The UZI guns are of greater weight with 3.5 kilograms than their counterpart, which is of 2.84 kilograms. When referring to the length too, the UZI guns are longer with 640mm, while the Mac 10 guns are 470 mm long.
