A mission statement reflects the main reasons for the establishment of a particular company or business. A mission statement is one that describes briefly the purpose or the reason behind the establishment of the company. When creating a mission statement, it has to be centered on the business makeup, capabilities, and the activities of the company. It must also contain the set of people you are targeting as your customers.

A mission statement should be able to answer how, why your company is into that business, and what your company is all about. On the other hand, a vision statement should reflect your plan for your company in the future. It is not actually about what you are doing presently, but a statement that reflects what the company will become in the future. Having a vision statement is very good because it doesn't only motivate you to do better; it will also motivate your employees to be more committed so that your goals can be realized.
