Let me start stating their differences by saying Jujitsu is the older of the two martial arts. According to history, jujitsu was first used by the old Japanese Samurai warriors. It is a complete system of fighting that includes the use of kicks, swordplay, punches, grappling, etc. in order to defeat the opponent. Judo, on the other hand, uses one of the techniques in jujitsu. It is a type of martial art whereby two fighters grapple, and both rely on their weight and force to win the fight.

Jujitsu is very complex, and it uses more techniques than Judo, in fact, Judo is safer compared to jujitsu. This is because part of the techniques used in jujitsu is that one can target and launch several attacks on the other person's organs and nerve centers. Jujitsu seems to be a dangerous martial art because it can be used during a real fight. In contrast, judo is used majorly in sport.

Judo is a much gentler method of Jujitsu and is a defense form of fighting in which one handles their opponent appropriately. It would help if you used your entire body weight as leverage to beat your opponent. Jujitsu is an ancient discipline that was practiced in the battlefields in Japan many years ago. It employs all of the techniques of Judo. Jujitsu was practiced by ancient Japanese warriors, which is why it is such a popular tradition today.

It emulates the overall strength of the individual. Judo is a much safer version of Jujitsu, which does not utilize attack on the nerve centers and organs. It has become an integral part of competitive sports. In Judo, you win by taking advantage of the opponent’s momentum to lure them into battle, complete with throwing and tripping. Jujitsu, on the other hand, uses several combinations of special moves of real fighting.
