Justice and Mercy are two terms that seem similar, they both has to do with a form of compassion and tenderness. Everybody deserves at least one of either mercy or justice at a particular point in life. Moreover, this strikes the difference between them; that moment when you are guilty, and you sought to be pardoned, what you needed was mercy. However, there might be instances where you can be innocent of some things, but you find yourself in the middle of some accusations, what you needed at that moment is justice.

In summary, mercy is for the guilty, while justice is for the innocent. Justice is for the just, relating it to the dictionary meaning as a state of being fair or just. Justice can also be used to address impartiality or fairness in a particular situation. Conversely, mercy is closely related to compassion and forgiveness.

There are many words used to call to mind what justice means, including but not limited to, fairness, equity, righteousness, and honor. Justice is a notion of moral rightness that encompasses the perspectives of integrity, ethics, religion, law, and rationality. They often say justice is blind, which means it is impartial and objective. Justice is repeatedly portrayed as a woman wearing a blindfold, holding a set of scales and a sword.

Mercy is a show of compassion or forgiveness granted by someone who has the power to punish or serve a sentence in a court of law or other situations. One example would be imprisonment instead of the death penalty for first-degree murder. Some believe that God shows mercy to his followers, or to show kindness, compassion, and forgiveness when justice would demand otherwise.
