A lycan and a werewolf are mythological characters in movies and literature. The word “werewolf” was derived from an Old English “we're” and “Wulf,”; “We're,” meaning “man” and “Wulf,” meaning “wolf.” “Lycan” is a word coined from “lycanthropy,” which comes from the Greek word “lykánthropos." Lycanthropy is a word used in modern science to describe mental illness- A Stage in which a person thinks he or she is changed to an animal.
And the persons behave and act like an animal. Though a Lycan and a werewolf both relate to the turning of humans into a wolf, they are different in many ways. Both the lycan and werewolf possess great superhuman powers, agility, speed, healing abilities, coordination, and have great tracking abilities. They both have the almost equal physical strength and ability, but werewolves are easier to kill compare to lycans. A werewolf can easily be killed by piercing silver objects into their head or their heart; unlike Lycan that can't be killed by silver, one has to separate the spine from its body to kill it.
