Knitting can be defined as the process in which thread is used in forming or making cloth as well as other crafts. Yarn is used sometimes instead of thread. It consists of the consecutive running of stitches or loops together to form a fashionable material. On the other hand, weaving can be defined as the process whereby you interlace two types of threads or yarn together to form a cloth or fabric.

You run those two types of threads in a different direction whereby the weft runs crosswise on the warp thread, which is run lengthwise. The yarn is known to follow a path or a course in knitting, where which it forms well-proportioned loops under and over the yarn's path. The end nature of the fabric or clothes made from knitting is usually elastic and bulky. Conversely, in weaving, you find the threads being run side by side, straight and perpendicular to each other. Fabrics or cloths that are made from weaving are usually thinner.

Weaving and knitting are two different techniques for producing fabrics. Knitting is a technique of creating fabric through a single yarn, and as the person repeats the process, the material appears to have loops, which are like little rows of braids. The two main types of knitting are called weft and warp knitting. Weft knitting requires a singe yarn, while warp knitting utilizes a separate yarn for each row. Warp knitting is done by machine, while weft knitting is something better left to the experts.

Weaving is a popular technique for producing fabrics. It is considered as the standard way of forming fabrics. This process uses two sets of yarns that run together in an intertwining fashion to provide a place for the weft and warp of a weave. Weaving has become an art for designing fabrics all over the world.
