In Luke's account, there was a census that required Mary and Joseph to go from their abode in Nazareth to Bethlehem. While in Matthew's account, an angel appeared to Joseph and assured him, so he married Mary. Jesus was born in Bethlehem in both accounts. While in the account of Luke, there was no room in the inn, therefore Jesus was born by Mary in the Manger.

The wise men saw his star, which they've once seen two years earlier, and they went ahead to inform the king Herod before they came and gave gifts to the newborn baby. In Matthew's gospel, the nearby shepherd was told of the events by angels. In Luke's gospel, Joseph was warned in a dream, and he took his family and fled to Egypt from Bethlehem. While in Matthew's gospel, Jesus was taken to the temple in Jerusalem. While Herod starts killing of babies.

Many religious scholars and fanatics are in disagreement regarding the birth of Jesus Christ, because of Luke and Matthew’s separate accounts of the event. The narrative stories about Jesus’s birth are different. From Luke’s account, a census required Joseph and Mary to travel to Bethlehem. There were no rooms at the inn, so Mary places baby Jesus in a manger. Nearby shepherds are told of these events by angles.

Time passes, and then Jesus is brought to the temple in Jerusalem. Soon after, Joseph and Mary return to their home in Nazareth. In Matthew’s account, an angel appeared to Joseph, and he decides to marry Mary. Jesus is born in Bethlehem. Two years later, the wise men see his star, and they come and tell Herod. The wise men bring holy gifts of frankincense, myrrh, and gold to Jesus. Joseph and his family abruptly leave Bethlehem and go to Egypt. Herod commences the massacre of infants. Then, Herod dies, and Joseph is afraid to travel to Judea, so they make a home in Nazareth.
