Many religious scholars and fanatics are in disagreement regarding the birth of Jesus Christ, because of Luke and Matthew’s separate accounts of the event. The narrative stories about Jesus’s birth are different. From Luke’s account, a census required Joseph and Mary to travel to Bethlehem. There were no rooms at the inn, so Mary places baby Jesus in a manger. Nearby shepherds are told of these events by angles.
Time passes, and then Jesus is brought to the temple in Jerusalem. Soon after, Joseph and Mary return to their home in Nazareth. In Matthew’s account, an angel appeared to Joseph, and he decides to marry Mary. Jesus is born in Bethlehem. Two years later, the wise men see his star, and they come and tell Herod. The wise men bring holy gifts of frankincense, myrrh, and gold to Jesus. Joseph and his family abruptly leave Bethlehem and go to Egypt. Herod commences the massacre of infants. Then, Herod dies, and Joseph is afraid to travel to Judea, so they make a home in Nazareth.
