IEP and 504 are two different programs that are established by governments to achieve proper education for the disable people in the society. The IEP, which simply stands for Individualized Educational Plan, is a program designed by the government to help children with disabilities to achieve their educational goal. The real aim of this program is to help children with disabilities to successfully attend the normal elementary and secondary school, and that help should be provided for them when needed.

The body in charge of monitoring this program is the IDEA (that is Individual with Disabilities Education Act). On the other hand, the 504 program, which is established by the government also, focuses on ensuring that disabled people benefit from any government funded programs. In addition, they also ensure the allowance of disabled people in activities such as elementary, secondary, and tertiary education. This program also assists them in acquisition of necessary properties such as home instructions, wheelchair ramps, tape recorder for notes, and etc.

It is now mandated that schools protect students with disabilities or special needs by making sure they have an enjoyable and successful education. Governments have formulated a program to assist these kids in acquiring education in a normal school environment. The individualized educational plan, otherwise known as an IEP, has the purpose of providing school students with disabilities the opportunity to have help and support in special or isolated classrooms.

They may be able to have more time taking tests, and sometimes a child with an IEP does not have those provisions. They may also have one on one attention with someone who is trained to help children with disabilities. This person might be able to explain the work in a different way that the child can understand. Plan 504 is a government program that has ruled that kids with disabilities should not be excluded in applications such as federally funded programs and activities. It is meant for students who have disabilities but do not require special education.
