“Real 3D and IMAX"; two common words you would have come across in movies' advertisement. Displaying movies in 3D formats happen to be the trend of things in the movie industry nowadays. Let's look at the exact differences that exist when it comes to IMAX and Real 3d. These two rely on the instrumentality of glasses that makes use of polarization of filters. The types of glass used in IMAX are known to be larger; this is in an attempt to give a wider field of view.

Glasses used in 3D are just the standard size of 3D glasses. IMAX brings together both analog and digital devices in displaying content. Imax Digital 3D movies will be more costly when compared to 3D for many reasons. One of which is the fact that IMAX gives a far better sound quality when compared to the quality of Sound produced by the 3D. 3D makes use of linear polarization while IMAX makes use of circular polarizing in generating pictures. The type of projectors used in getting good picture quality in these two also differs; IMAX makes use of the dual projectors while the 3D uses the single projector.

3D technology is booming, as many different techniques have been invented for this purpose. The audience now has a plethora of options from which to choose. Two of these options include IMAX and Real 3D. The glasses used for viewing IMAX 3D movies are passive polarized plastic glasses that are impressively big. Even though there is distress over the quality of the picture, it is IMAX 3D’s ambition to provide more of a pop-out effect for the viewer. Viewers feel as if they are rapidly coming towards the screen and into the action. It is like a unique amusement ride that is very popular with children.

Real #D came out after IMAX 3D. Not only does this mean that the movies are digital, the projectors used for screening them are digital also. The glasses utilized for Real 3D are circular polarized plastic glasses, and they provide an improved effect over the ones used in IMAX. Although it may be expensive, you are paying for the full experience of 3D movie viewing.
