The laptop was created to be a more portable form of a computer. As technology has evolved, there have been several incarnations and upgrades of these laptops. It is the ambition of their creators that each time it introduces a newer, more powerful, and smaller laptop. A notebook is still a laptop, but the notebook focuses more on portability, rather than power. They are often much thinner than the typical laptop computers, and they are far lighter in comparison.

The main drawback is that notebooks do not match the power of a laptop. It can enact word processing and data storage. The battery takes up much of the weight of the notebook. The main advantage of a notebook is its portability. However, undertaking in-depth research is better left to the laptop.

Among the different kinds of computers that we have, such as desktop, palmtop, and tablet, laptop, and notebook, are also other kinds of computer products. All these machines actually perform relatively the same function with very little difference between them. The major difference between all these devices or machines or computers is just in their sizes. Of all these latest computers, the desktop is the oldest of them all, and it is the biggest. As technology advanced, technology grew to the point of having machines that perform the same function as computers but can be easily carried around. This led to the building of laptops, such that it can be carried around probably in a bag, and operated everywhere. However, technology grew to the point of still having a smaller one, which led to the construction of notebooks. Hence, notebooks are smaller in size than laptops; this makes the major difference between them. In addition, laptops are more used than notebooks.
