What is the difference between Democrat and Republican?

The fundamental democratic beliefs are that everyone works together with equality on all fronts, and there should be equal opportunity for all regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. The party is known as liberal and advocates for social and economic equality and provides welfare for those in need. The Democratic party promotes government regulation in the economy, protection for the environment, and support for labor and unions, along with belief in an individual’s rights to life, liberty security, equal opportunity, privacy, and dignity.

The central belief of the Republican Party is that each person is responsible for their place in society. They believe that the government should enable people to secure the benefits of society for themselves, families, and those who are unable to do so. They believe that it is best that government does not interfere unless needed and that the strength of our nation comes from within the people who reside in this country. They also encourage free enterprise and ingenuity will always carry our country forward as this has demonstrated in the past.

Both the Democratic and the Republican Party are just the two major forces that have shaped the political system of the United States of America from about the 19th century. Worthy of note is the fact that Democrat and Republican presidents have constantly been alternating in the past few decades. This means that Americans are divided over some key issues of life. The conservative, right-leaning Republican Party is the opposite of the liberal and left-leaning Democratic Party on social economic and political matters. The Democrat immigration policies are open while Republicans believe in strong border control. Republican believes in a tax cut, while Democrat advocates that rich people should pay higher taxes. Republicans believe in the use of firearms, while democrats advocate for more regulation in the use of firearms.

Democrats support gay marriage, abortion, and adoption rights while Republicans are against gay marriage and abortion. Unlike the Republicans, Democrats believe the government should intervene in economic and social matters.
