Jehovah’s Witness was founded by Charles Taze Russell in the 1870s, whereas Mormon was founded in 1830 by Joseph Smith. The actual name for this denomination is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although both denominations are usually classified as Orthodox Christians denominations, there are a lot of differences between the two, especially when you compare some of the things that constitute their beliefs.
Jehovah's Witness and Mormon don't have the same understanding of the concept of the Trinity. Mormons believe God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are separate beings, and, as such, they should be worshipped separately. Mormon preaches that Jesus Christ and all human beings are God's children. Like Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that God created all human beings, but Jesus Christ is the only son of God and that the Holy Spirit is not a person but the spirit of God. Mormons believe that the soul of every human will be resurrected and will be taken to heaven by Jesus Christ. In contrast, Jehovah's witnesses believe that; although all the sleeping souls would be resurrected by Jesus Christ, just 144 000 will be taken to heaven, while others will continue to live on earth.
