There are a lot of people who can become confused with the differences between raw sugar and white sugar because they assume that all types of sugar are the same. Raw sugar comes from the residue that is left behind when the sugarcane has already been processed.
White sugar is the processed version wherein it has gone through certain methods that will give it the usual “sugar” appearance that we are familiar with.
Remember that there are different steps that white sugar needs to go through so that it can become the type of sugar that we know. It will be exposed to chemicals so that the impurities can be removed.
