Some may assume that a medical diagnosis and a nursing diagnosis are the same, but actually, there are some differences. A medical diagnosis is made when the doctor would need to assess the condition of a person.

For example, a person may be suffering from a disease or a certain condition. A doctor should make a medical diagnosis so that the person can be given the right treatment soon.

A nursing diagnosis, on the other hand, is connected to how humans should respond, given the different potential problems that may be experienced by the patient and how the problem should be dealt with. There are certain life processes that should also be taken into consideration.
