Alveoli are made out of the epithelial layers and the extracellular matrix. These are all enclosed in capillaries. The alveolar sacs, on the other hand, can be found at the far end of the alveolar ducts. Obviously, their function and their location are different from each other.
Another difference is what they are made out of. If you would check out the components of the alveoli, you will see that they are made out of elastic fibers and collagen. The alveoli sacs, on the other hand, are made out of alveoli. This is where they are able to communicate with each other.
The alveolar sacs are usually compared to grapes because of how they look like when they are placed in bunches. The alveoli, on the other hand, are usually compared to how pockets usually look like.
