Polyester is known to be a type of fiber that is synthetic, which means that it is man-made. Rayon can be considered as a semi-synthetic fiber, but the main material of rayon actually comes from natural and raw material.
There are a lot of people who may use these materials for certain types of clothes. Rayon will have the tendency to shrink, to tear, and sometimes wrinkle, but it will be different for Polyester.
There are a lot of people who may choose polyester whenever they need to travel because they know that they do not have to worry about their clothes getting wrinkled. Some polyester clothes can also be very durable as compared to cloth made out of the natural fiber.

The textile industry has a number of fabrics that can be chosen from. Two of those fabrics are Polyester and Rayon. Between the two, rayon has been around longer. Out of all the fibers in the industry, rayon is the first. It is known as a semi-synthetic fiber, which means it is not 100% natural, as well as not 100% synthetic. Polyester is 100% synthetic.
There are four types of rayon, which include standard rayon, cuprammonium, high wet modulus, and high tenacity. Another difference between them is when they are worn. Rayon is mainly worn in warm weather, while polyester is worn in cooler weather.
