Windows Vista was released for use on January 30, 2007, and Windows 7 was released for use on July 22, 2009; however, it was not available for consumer use until October 2009. Vista did have several features that were not available on previous versions, and there were six different editions of Vista. Vista replaced the well know Windows XP, and it was not user friendly for those that were used to its predecessor.

Vista was replaced by Windows 7 two-and-one-half years later and was more user friendly and is still used today even though there have been upgrades, and it is no longer supported as of January 2020. Seven was better than Vista on many levels, including faster booting, PowerShell, user account control, and improved window use.

Windows 7 and Windows Vista are two of the many operating systems released through Microsoft. Between the two, Windows 7 is the newer one. It was released in 2009, while Windows Vista was released in 2006. Windows 7 came directly after Vista, while Windows 8 was released after Windows 7.

One of the differences between them was the amount of user controls that a user had. Windows Vista only had 2, which was on and off, while Windows 7 had two others allowing the user to add notification settings.

Another difference between them is in regards to hardware. They both came with 16GB of Ram, but the Ultimate of Windows Vista had 128GB, while Windows 7 had 192GB.

The most recent operating system software from Microsoft is Windows 7. It has accumulated some reviews from many users, part of which was due to how much it has shunned the previous operating system, Windows Vista. Windows Vista is slightly ahead or better than windows 7 in terms of performance. Windows Vista was meant to be the groundbreaking operating system software from Microsoft. It actually offered loads of new features, which include the beautiful aero interface and the User Access Control (UAC), which was meant to reduce the possibility of intrusion of malicious programs.

The feature was meant to be an upgrade on the overall performance, but a lot of people had real time issues with it. Windows 7 really focused on many changes that were supposed to better the user experience in contrast to Vista. Therefore we can view Windows 7 as an overhaul of Vista that has more features.
